Robert Scott, Jr.

Robert Lee Scott, Jr, age 56 of Mt. Sterling and formerly of Beardstown, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his home.

He was born September 5, 1963 in Beardstown, the son of Robert Lee, Sr and Beverly Ann Montgomery Scott.

He is survived by his daughter Leanne (husband James) Raleigh of Quincy; three grandchildren Garrett, Christian, and Jase; two sisters Marcia (husband Daniel) Shults of Havana and Cynthia Louise Scott of Jacksonville; his longtime best friend Michelle Becker of Mt. Sterling; a niece Miranda Hall; and a nephew Karl David Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert attended Rushville Schools. He worked Mark Edlin Construction in Mt. Sterling for many years, and he was also known for helping with whatever needed done. He enjoyed hunting but his favorite times were spent fishing in ponds or the river.

Cremation rites have accorded. Private family services will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Meredosia. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
