Nació el 9 de agosto de 1972 en Puerto Rico, hija de Miguel González y Carmen Iris Báez Molina.

Le sobreviven sus cuatro hijos Melanie (esposo Giovanni Martes) Morales, Joeleane (esposo Miguel Enríquez) Morales, Anthony Morales González (esposa Suly Tania) y Michael Anthony González (esposa Magrid Muñoz); su madre Carmen Iris Báez Molina; y ocho nietos. Fue precedida en la muerte por su padre y sus hermanos.

Liz era conocida por ser una guerrera con un gran corazón y siempre disfrutando de la vida. Tenía una pasión por la cocina e hizo que todos comieran incluso si no tenían hambre. No solo le encantaba cocinar para su familia, sino también para cualquier persona a la que invitara a su casa. Liz disfrutaba de todo tipo de música y veía muchos programas de cocina, investigación y pintura. Bob Ross era su pintor favorito y Liz incluso creó muchas obras maestras. Tenía un espíritu aventurero, pero su mayor alegría era ser "Abi" para sus nietos.

Los servicios junto a la tumba se llevarán a cabo a las 10 a.m. del viernes 19 de agosto de 2022 en el cementerio de Beardstown City. La familia se reunirá con amigos de 4 a 10 PM el jueves en Colwell Memorial Home en Beardstown.

Elizabeth “Liz” Gonzalez Baez, age 50 of Marshalltown, IA and formerly of Beardstown, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

She was born August 9, 1972 in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Miguel Gonzalez and Carmen Iris Baez Molina.

She is survived by her four children Melanie (husband Giovanni Martes) Morales, Joeleane (husband Miguel Enriquez) Morales, Anthony Morales Gonzalez (wife Suly Tania), and Michael Anthony Gonzalez (wife Magrid Munoz); her mother Carmen Iris Baez Molina; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and siblings.

Liz was known to be a warrior with a big heart, and always enjoying life. She had a passion for cooking and made everyone eat even if they weren’t hungry. She not only loved cooking for her family but anyone she invited into her home. Liz enjoyed all types of music and watched many cooking, investigating, and painting shows. Bob Ross was her favorite painter and Liz even created many masterpieces. She had an adventurous spirit, but her greatest joy was being “Abi” to her grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Friday, August 19, 2022 at Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 4-10 PM Thursday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown.
