Wanda Clostermery

Wanda W. Clostermery, age 91 of Beardstown, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Roseville Rehabilitation and Health Care.
She was born June 16, 1925 in Valley City, the daughter of Lee Simon and Francis Meredith Comstock Robison. She married George F. Clostermery on December 30, 1945 in Orrick, MO and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2013.
She is survived by her three sons Joseph C. Clostermery of Chicago, Raymond L. Clostermery of Beardstown, and Samuel G. Clostermery of Wyaconda, MO; seven grandchildren, Althea (husband Brian), Megan (husband Justin), Emilie (husband Leo), Mandy (husband Darrel); Nicoli, Danielle, and Cory (wife Jennifer); 13 great grandchildren Milo, Silas, Elizabeth, Leonard, Corea, John, Steve, Caitlin, Jacob, Cara, Mercedes, Makenzie, and Gavin; one great great grandchild Tatum; and one brother Dean (wife Verla) Robison of Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George F. Clostermery, two sisters Rosalea Armel and Francis Bradley, and two brothers Frank and Sam Robison.
Wanda attended schools in Valley City, Missouri, and Rushville. She had worked for Quincy Shoe Factory and Weems Laundry in Quincy. Later she worked at Methode Electronics in Carthage. She was a proud mother who was able to stay at home and raise her three sons. Wanda enjoyed working around her house and cooking. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Frederick, and the Carthage Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Monday, May 8, 2017 at Colwell Memorial Home Beardstown. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-7 PM Sunday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown.
Memorials have been suggested to the Roseville Rehabilitation and Health Care Activity Fund or Compassus Hospice.
