Tommy Flath

Tommy Lee Flath, age 52 of Beardstown, died Monday, July 16, 2018 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born February 28, 1966 in St. Genevieve, MO, the son of Harold and Sandra Kniest Fluth. He married Mary Louise Bergman in 2009.

He is survived by his parents, wife Mary Flath of Beardstown, his son Daniel (wife Shelbie) Flath of Meredosia; two grandchildren Maisynn and Myles Flath; and two brothers Bobby Flath and Roy (wife Nancy) Flath of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death one sister Nancy, and two brothers Kenny and Junior.

Tommy attended St. Genevieve High School in Missouri. He had recently been working at D and D Enterprise in Beardstown. For most of his life he was self-employed running his business, Tom’s Haulin’. He enjoyed racing the #143 and playing games on his computer. He loved nothing more than being with his family, and it was even better when everyone was together for a big holiday meal.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
