Susan Lee Shaw

Susan Lee Shaw, 80, of Beardstown, died Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Beardstown Health and Rehab.

She was born April 14, 1946, in Beardstown, the daughter of Max and Mary Evelyn Wishon Shaw.

She is survived by her half-brother, Ronny Shaw of Valley City, KS; her cousin, Mike Smith (wife, Judy) of Rushville, formally of Beardstown; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a half-brother, James Lee Logsdon.

Susan was a 1964 graduate of Beardstown High School and a member of First United Methodist Church in Beardstown. She worked for more than 20 years at First State Bank in Beardstown and was also employed at Rexall Pharmacy and Walmart during her career. Susan enjoyed shopping and spending time with animals, especially her beloved cats and horses. She will be remembered for her quiet nature and the kindness she showed to those who knew her.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private graveside services will be held at a later date in Beardstown City Cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown will be in charge of arrangements.
