Spencer Fortney

Spencer Phillip Fortney, aged 51, passed away on Monday, July 8th, 2024, at his home in Beardstown, IL. He was born to Gary and Judith Fortney on September 8th, 1972, in San Diego, California, and raised by his beloved grandmother, Phyllis Anderson. 

Spencer is survived by one son, Isaiah Emanuel Dale Sheley; sister, Marian "Mimi" Kelley; grandmother, Phyllis Anderson; uncles George Anderson (Lynn) and Russell Anderson (Julie); and Aunt Gail Anderson. His father, Gary, and mother, Judith, preceded him in death.

Spencer was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, a great cook, and loved to fish.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The family, along with the community, will host a celebration of life at First Southern Baptist Church in Beardstown at a later date.
