Scott Campbell

May 26, 1973 — February 6, 2016

Scott William Campbell, 42 of Arenzville, is now in heaven running on the beach as fast as he can with both legs.
He died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at his home. He was born May 26, 1973 in Beardstown the son of Richard Seymour and Tena Campbell. He married Jennifer Conner on December 14, 1991 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beardstown.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer Campbell of Arenzville; his children Kyle, Cameron, Conner, and Chloe Campbell; his mother Tena Seymour of Beardstown; his father and mother-in-law John and June Conner of Beardstown; five sisters Marcie (husband Larry) Lenover of Rushville, Shelly (husband Steve) Griffin of Beardstown, Cheryl Ann Seymour and Kim (husband Gregg) Brown both of Irving, TX, and Cindy (husband Bo) Walsh of Kewanee, IN; a brother-in-law Joe Conner of Beardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandparents Rod and Deloras Skiles; and his paternal grandmother Bessie Seymour.

Scott graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1991. Early on he had worked at Illinois Glove Factory in Beardstown and for Bartlow Brothers in Rushville. He started working for Conner Family Amusement in 1989, where he met the love of his life, and to this day could still be found putting smiles on each little face that came his way. Scott enjoyed getting tattoos and each had a special meaning to him. He loved his phone, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and was still waiting for the Chicago Cubs to go all the way. Scott never met someone he didn’t like. He had numerous friends he kept in touch with on Facebook, and even a special group of Amputee friends. Most of all his family was his life.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown with Pastor Mike Courson and Rev. Bud Hance officiating. Burial will be in the St. Alexius Catholic Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the memorial home.

Memorials have been suggested to Shriner’s Hospital for Children or to the family for Scott’s children’s education fund.
