Sallie Elaine Klebe, age 87 of Troy, MO and formerly of Beardstown, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy, MO.
She was born June 1, 1936 in Decatur, the daughter of Fred and Vera Musser Oak. She married Edward H. Klebe on June 24, 1956 in Decatur, IL and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2018.
Ed and Sallie were blessed with three children; John and his wife Nancy Armbrust Klebe of Troy, MO, Kristy and her husband Roy France of Mt. Olive, and Robert Klebe of Tovey; six grandchildren Keith (wife Molly) France of Batavia, Julie (husband Tim) Zwicky of Winfield, MO, John D. (wife Ashley) Klebe of Winfield, MO, Faryn Klebe of Ft. Collins, CO, Brett Klebe of Pawnee, Andy (wife Jackie) Irons of Charleston, IL; eleven great-grandchildren Lucas, Magnolia, Elise, Sophia, Samantha, Forrest, John, Evie, Gillian, Dane, and Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Sallie was born and raised in the Decatur area. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Decatur High School. Ed's career with CIPS moved the family to Beardstown, where Sallie found work at Sears, Wal-Mart, and Harris Market. Her life was led by her faith in Jesus which she made sure to instill in her children and she greatly enjoyed serving the Lord through Laborer's for Christ. Sallie was talented and had a lot of skills. She an avid and accomplished quilter which she passed on to her daughters. She was crafty and her green thumb kept her busy in her flower garden. Sallies greatest joys were living a Christian Life and being a grandmother.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 12:15 PM Saturday, March 9, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Beardstown with Reverend Keith Kettner officiating. The family will meet with friends from 11 AM-Noon on Saturday March 9, 2024 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown.
