Sadie Clanin

Sadie Rose Clanin, age 76 of Beardstown, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Heritage Health in Beardstown.

She was born March 12, 1945 in Frederick, the daughter of John R. and Rosie McLaughlin Brown.

She is survived by her sister Alberta (husband Charles) Glascock of Beardstown; two nieces Rose Marie Hall of Eldorado and Phyllis Reynolds of Jacksonville; 4 nieces and nephews Lisa (husband Russell) Hodge, Melinda (husband Ross) Young, Troy (wife Carrie) Michaels, Jr, and Christopher Michaels all of Jacksonville, and 12 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a nephew John Thomas “Tom” Hall, and a great nephew Phillip Hall.

Sadie attended Frederick Schools. She had a strong faith and a kind heart. She was nice to everyone and was easy to get along with. During her time at the nursing home, she found comfort sitting in the garden or “bossing” around the employees. Sadie’s favorite color was blue, but most importantly she loved her family, and all children made her smile.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown with Pastor Mike Courson officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery in rural Rushville. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the memorial home on Sunday.
