Patricia Ann “Patty” Holt, age 70 of Arenzville, died Thursday, March 10, 2022 at her home.
She was born June 17, 1951 in Beardstown, the daughter of Junior (wife Mary) Hymes and Rozelia “Rosy” (husband Earl) Thurman Price. She married Richard “Dick” Holt on June 7, 1968 in Beardstown and he survives in Arenzville.
She is also survived by two children Nicole (husband Craig) Gregory and David Holt both of Arenzville; ten grandchildren Brittney (husband Adam) Brockhouse of Chapin, Jordan (husband Dale) Jarvis of Chapin, Dylan (wife Julie) Guthrie of Fort Wayne, IN, Dalton (companion Ronnie Weems) Holt of Lynnville, Justin (companion Shelby Donaldson) Gregory of Arenzville, Austin (wife Gracie) Holt of Chapin, Kaitlyn (companion Cole Parker) Drake of Glasgow, Jacklyn (companion Collin Boehl) Gregory of Virginia, Mason Holt of Jacksonville, and Hunter Drake of Winchester; five great grandchildren Autumn, Finley, and Ace Brockhouse, Anastasia Stier and Layla Guthrie; two sisters Linda (husband George) Absher and Cynthia (husband Paul) McCulley; two brothers John (wife Mary) Hymes and Lemuel Hymes; a stepbrother Ed Price; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Tamara Drake, a brother Mike Hymes, and a stepbrother David Price.
Patty attended Beardstown Schools. She was a dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville, and her homemade noodles were always a hit at the chicken noodle dinners. She took pride in raising her family. Patty was an active volunteer with Special Olympics and dedicated 20+ years hosting the hospitality room for the Lady Tiger Classic. She was gifted in the kitchen with the ability to cook. Her greatest joy was being her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader at any of their sporting events. Her contagious smile will be missed by all those who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-7 PM Monday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown.
