Nancy J. Rebman Trone, age 80 of Beardstown, died Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her home.
She was born May 11, 1940 in Beardstown, the daughter of Arthur and Rosella Eckhardt Rebman. She married Guy E. Trone, Sr on August 15, 1959 in Beardstown and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1996.
She is survived by three children Teri (husband Kendall) Tippey of Beardstown, Guy E. (wife Deana) Trone Jr of Minnesota, and Kenneth L. (wife Patty) Trone of DeWitt; five grandchildren Justin (wife Jodean) Tippey, April Trone, Carley Hammond, Nikki Lyons, and Kory Weikle; six great grandchildren Lane, Ryker, and Sierra Weikle, Autumn Spurgeon, Eliza Schumaker, and Rayven Hammond; one sister Linda (husband Danny) McDougal of Tennessee; two brothers Darwin (wife Donna) Dodds of Rushville and Ted Dodds of Frederick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Lorrie Gay Trone, a granddaughter Alaina Tippey, a granddaughter-in-law Teresa Tippey, her sister Norman Jean Rebman Burgett, and two brothers Jack Rebman and Russel Dodds.
Nancy attended Beardstown Schools. She worked as a dispatcher for the Beardstown Police Department, and then started with Oscar Mayer and retired from Excel Corporation in Beardstown. Nancy also worked at the Star Gazette as an Ad Designer. She had a talent for Ceramics, was the owner of Countryside Connections, and taught numerous ceramic classes. In her younger years she was a member of Eastern Star and enjoyed playing in bowling leagues. She was a member of Life Family Church in Beardstown. Nancy had a contagious smile and was a friend to all.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown, with Pastor Brandon Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be live streamed at 10 AM Saturday on her obituary page on the funeral home website.
