Leslie "Les" Farwell

Leslie Allen "Les" Farwell, 81 of Beardstown, died Friday, August 23, 2024 at his home.

He was born October 10, 1942 in Beardstown, the son of Louis L. and Gertrude J. Hughes Farwell. He married Leta Monger on March 25, 1965 and she preceded him in death on September 10, 2006. He then married Terri Hageman Clark on December 21, 2007 and she survives in Beardstown.

He is also survived by two sons Jim (wife Tammy) Farwell of Havana and Don (wife Sandy) Farwell of Farmington; stepchildren Jason Brown of Beardstown, Josh Clark of Bellflower, MO, and Lane Clark of Beardstown; and his sister Connie Whorton of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and a son Larry.

Private family services will be held in the Beardstown City Cemetery with military honors conducted by Guthrie-Pierce VFW Post # 1239. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
