Kimberly Ann Melton, 63, of Beardstown, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. She was born May 2, 1960, in Beardstown. She is the daughter of Richard and Kathy Newingham Crum of Rushville.

She is survived by her father Rich Crum of Rushville; two sisters Lynn (George) Anderson of Alton, IL and Mindy (Richard) Davis of Rushville, IL; six children, Kristen (Jessy) Martin of Pensacola, FL., Terrin Geist and Dustin Wear of New Berlin, IL, Brandi (Corey) Merrill of Lacey WA., Dylan Crum of Virginia IL, Austin and Tori Melton both of Beardstown IL; and her mother-in-law Nancy Melton. Kim graduated from Rushville High School in the class of 1978. She worked as a CNA at Heritage Nursing Home in Beardstown for many years before moving to the Alzheimer's unit. Kim was an avid reader in her free time, enjoyed fishing, and loved all animals, especially her dogs. She cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Kim was blessed with the years she spent in Colorado surrounded by mountains, and her one wish was to someday walk on the beach at sunset.
