Jacqueline Jean “Jackie” Bresnahan, 72 of Beardstown, died Monday, November 28, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born January 23, 1950 in Beardstown, the daughter of Edwin “Tuck” and Peggy Brooks Walters.
She is survived by two grandsons Chase Bresnahan of Belleview, MO and Trenton Murray of Beardstown; three granddaughters Makenziee, Makenliee, and Ruby; one brother Greg “Bo” (wife Carla) Walters of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Lisa Murray, and two brothers Bob “Buckwheat” (surviving wife Nancy) and Eddie Joe “Duke” Walters.
Jackie graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1968. She as a member of Beardstown United Methodist Church. Over the years she worked different jobs but her most important role in life was being a mother to her daughter Lisa. She lived for her grandchildren and never missed the opportunity to watch them in action while on the field or in the gym. She loved spending time with her girlfriends and just driving around town sipping on a soda. Jackie Jean’s contagious smile and giggle will live on through the memories she shared with all those who loved her the most.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown with Reverend Jarrett Wells officiating. Burial will be in Herche Cemetery in Schuyler County. The family will meet with friends from 10 AM until the time of services at the memorial home on Saturday.
