Jacob David Middaugh, 18 of Beardstown, Died unexpectedly Monday, August 18, 2025 in Jacksonville, IL.
He was born March 2, 2007 in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Joshua Middaugh and Holly Henderson.
He is survived by his mother, Holly Gatske (and her husband Jordan Gatske) of Hannibal, MO; his father, Joshua Middaugh (companion Shonte Moller) of Astoria; two sisters, Christina Middaugh and Samantha Middaugh, both of Hannibal, MO two brothers, Richard & Ben Middaugh; his maternal grandmother, Julie Morris and her husband Donnie Morris (his maternal grandfather by marriage) of Center, MO; his maternal grandfather, Ron Henderson and his wife Reba Henderson (step-grandmother) of MI; maternal step-grandmother Margret Gatske of Hannibal, MO And Great Grandmother Sandy bays; Paternal grandmother Mary Middaugh; two maternal aunts, Cassie Hunter (and her husband Joe Hunter) and Heather Henderson Josie Morris; a paternal Aunt Amy Dobbs; five maternal uncles, JD Oller, Riley Oller, Michael Henderson (and partner Shaylan Myer), Jacob Morris, and Jamie Morris; two paternal uncles Kevin Brown and Jeremy Middaugh; 5 cousins, Alexie Morris and Amelia Morris Bubby Morris Bella Morris Lilly Morris; his girlfriend, Hailey Brown; and his cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Richard Middaugh and Dragon Oller.
Jacob attended Beardstown School through the 8th grade. He was currently working towards obtaining his GED and working with Conners Amusement. He loved people; simply spending time with others brought him immense happiness. He was obsessed with Snapchat and was labeled the Snapchat king by his mom because he knew how to keep his streaks going, regardless of his current circumstances. He was a fan of Supernatural. Jacob had challenges in life, just like many others, but he always found a way to smile. Most of the time, you could find him with a buddy roaming the streets of Beardstown.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Colwell Memorial Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the memorial home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services.
