Harold Deck Bratsch

Harold Deck Bratsch, 63 of Jacksonville, died Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.

He was born August 31, 1960 in White Hall, the son of August Eugene and Pearl June Scott Bratsch.

He is survived by two children Ann Bratsch and Robert Bratsch; several grandchildren; two sisters Sandy Bratsch and Linda Lacey; three brothers Randy Bratsch, Donnie Bratsch, and Brant Bratsch (companion Christy Nunnery); and numerous nieces and nephews including his niece and caretaker LaDona Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Bert Bratsch, Barb Kerr, and Debbie Bratsch, and two brothers James and Glenn Bratsch.

Harold attended Jacksonville Schools. He worked in construction for most of his life, also for Southeastern Wood Pole Inspectors based in Commerce, GA, and built a lasting friendship with Fred Norris. He enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques, and riding his Whizzer bikes. In his free time, he tinkered with whatever he could get his hands on. His life on earth may not have seemed long enough, but the memories he made with his loved ones will last forever.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will be held. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
