Edwin Christopher “Ed” Brannan, age 64 Bluff Springs, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at his home.

He was born October 7, 1951 in Beardstown the son of John S. and Margaret Ann Walker Brannan. He married Carole Perry on March 23, 2007.

He is survived by his wife Carole Brannan of Bluff Springs; his sons Edwin Christopher (wife Jenny) Brannan II of Jacksonville, NC, Andrew (wife Lecie) Brannan of Winchester, and Patrick (wife Kimberly) of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren Edwin Christopher Brannan III, Clara Brannan , Mary Hall, Morgan Hall, Andrew Brannan, Stephen Brannan, Jaylon Fore, Conner Brannan and Jessica (husband Dan) Herter; and one great grandson Collin Herter , his brother Sam (wife Debbie) Brannan of Beardstown; his sister Harriet (husband Jerry) Wiles of Cleveland, TN; the mother of his sons Karen Reveal; and several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ed graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1969. He was a member St. Alexius Catholic Church in Beardstown, Beardstown BPO Elks Lodge #1007, and Beardstown Game Club. Ed worked at Bohn Aluminum for nearly 20 years until it closed, and then went to work for the Beardstown School District for almost another 20 years as a custodian. He loved hunting, especially for quail and was a member of Quails Forever. Ed loved all his Birddogs, cooking, and spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all he will be greatly missed by his family.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Alexius Catholic Cemetery in Beardstown.

Memorials have been suggested to Wounded Warriors Project or PAWS.

Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
