Doris J. Moore

Doris J. Moore, 86 of Beardstown, died Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Beardstown Health and Rehab.

She was born July 31, 1939 in Rushville, the daughter of John and Nellie Hoke Moore.

She is survived by her son-in-law Howard Stephen Dyche of Frederick. She was preceded in death by her son Rick A. Taylor.

Doris graduated from Rushville High School with the Class of 1958. Throughout her working years, she was employed at Bohn Aluminum in Beardstown and Stephen's Chiropractic, and she also devoted time to caring for others as a home care aide. Doris enjoyed shopping, especially taking trips to Springfield, and always looked forward to getting out, browsing the stores, and enjoying the day.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 3, 2026 at Rushville City Cemetery with Reverend Fred Fritz officiating. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
