Donna Bottens

Donna J. Bottens, age 75 of Beardstown, died Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born August 28, 1941 in Ray, IL, the daughter of Herbert H. and Vera I. Ogden Parsano. She married Clifford Bottens on December 26, 1978 at the Browning Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughters Bobbie (husband Juan) Picornio of Beardstown, Lisa Bottens of Austin, TX, Julie (husband Kevin) DeSollar of Rushville, and Mary (husband Randy) Carter of Kansas City; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five brothers Gerald (wife Sharon) Parsano of Atwood, H. Leo (wife Paula) Parsano of Vermont, David (wife Sheri) Parsano of Adair, Ronald (wife Melinda) Parsano of Vermont, Donald Parsano of Vermont, and Brenda (Husband George) Hite of Industry.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Michael Parsano.

Mrs. Bottens was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. Donna attended First Christian Church of Beardstown. She gardened for a living but enjoyed relaxing at home in her spare time. She cherished her family and was known as an honest, hardworking woman.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, February 2, 2017 at First Christian Church in Beardstown with Pastor Mike Courson officiating. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown.
