Deana M. Stock

Deana Marie Stock, 66 of Beardstown, died Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 9, 1958 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Howard Dean and Bessie Marie Hern Morgan. She married Gary Stock and he survives in Beardstown.

She is also survived by five children Pam Lawyer of Jacksonville, Amy Jo Freeman (husband Michael) of Florida, Heather Lynn Stock of Macomb, Megan Marie Childers (husband James) of Beardstown, and Brett Alan Stock of Beardstown; seven grandchildren Timothy and Ryan Lawyer, Hayden Marie Childers, Taven Phoenix Swan, Dayton James Childers, Weston Alan Stock, and Jacob Lloyd Arnold; three sisters Sheyrl Constable (husband Robert) of Farmersville, Brenda Decker (husband Joel) of Mt. Olive, and Tammy White (husband Jim) of Philadelphia, IL; two brothers Roe Morgan (companion Deb) of Oregon, and Russell Morgan of Blue Mound; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Eric Matthew Loughary.

Deana attended Arenzville and Beardstown Schools. After dedicating 31 years, she retired in 2024 from JBS. Known for her visits to Wal-Mart and her warm heart and friendly spirit, Deana never missed a chance to brighten someone's day with a conversation or a helping hand. Around town, she was a familiar sight, zipping along on one of her beloved scooters.

Memorial services will be held at a later date with burial in Arenzville North Cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
