Claribel Seaman

Claribel L. Miller Seaman, age 88, of Bluff Springs, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her home.

She was born November 9, 1935, in McDonough County, the daughter of Rodney and Josephine Bubb Miller. She married Leland F. Seaman in Bluff Springs on October 26, 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother Ellen Miller, her husband, and her step sister and her husband, Barbara & Jack Berry, and a brother-in-law Warren Seaman.

Surving is one son Craig Alan Seaman of Beardstown; three stepbrothers James (Billie) Fustin of Arthur, Richard Fustin of Oswego, Robert (Sandy) of Arthur; two stepsisters Deborah (Hubert) Staff of Quincy, Susan (Deb) Fustin of Decatur and their families; a brother-in-law Don (wife Carolyn) Seaman of Beardstown; a sister-in-law Mary Clarke ( companion Jon Reichert) of Beardstown and numerous neices and nephews that played a special part in her life.

Claribel attended Ipava grade school, VIT High School, and graduated in 1953 from Lewistown High School. She worked as a secretary for Delta Tank Company in Beardstown before her marriage. She was a homemaker and attended Bluff Springs Methodist Church when she was able.

The family will meet with friends from 10:30 AM until noon on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Private burial will be held in the Beard Cemetery.
