Carol Ann Reiley, 84 of Beardstown, died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her home.
She was born September 1, 1941 in Canton, the daughter of Otis and Marshaleen Swise Myers. She married Dennis M. Reiley on July 1, 1972 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2022.
She is survived by four children Rodney Wilson (wife Sue) of Beardstown, Douglas Wilson of Alton, Dennis Michael Reiley, Jr (wife Vicki) of Springfield, and Tracey Wood (husband Rich) of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; three sisters Nancy DeRenzy (husband Kenny) of Macomb, Rosalie Wilmot (husband Larry) of Havana, and Sherry Myers of Avon ; two brothers Richard Myers (wife Donna) of California and Delbert Myers (wife Faith) of Chicago; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Greg Wilson, a sister Janet Day, and a brother Gary Myers.
Carol graduated from Avon High School with the Class of 1959. She worked for Oscar Mayer for 15 years, spent a year with Excel, and later worked for the Beardstown Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her career, Carol devoted much of her life to helping raise her grandchildren, a role she cherished deeply. She was a member of Browning United Methodist Church and was baptized there last year.
Carol enjoyed quilting and spending time with her quilting ladies group, tending to her flower gardens, and canning in her younger years. She treasured time with her family and grandchildren and was a devoted fan of Illini football and basketball, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Friday, February 13, 2026 at Browning United Methodist Church, with a meal to follow at Browning Community Center. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Burial will be held at a later date. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is assisting the family.
