Carol Peacock

Carol Ann Walsh Peacock, age 71 of Beardstown, died on Monday, July 3rd, at 11:05 p.m. at Heritage Health in Beardstown.

She was born August 23, 1945 in Canton, the daughter of James Arthur and Vivian Ester Kathmann Walsh. She married Everett E. “Gene” Peacock on December 31, 1966 at St. Alexius Catholic Church in Beardstown.

Surviving are her children Gina (Jeffrey) Palmisano of Springfield, and her son Troy Peacock of Norcross, GA; two step grandchildren: Craig and Casie Palmisano; two step great grandchildren: Jacob and Emmett Palmisano; four sisters: Lorraine (Blake) Fengel and Marilyn (Kline) Laird both of Canton, Judy (Larry) Jenkins of Peoria, and Dixie Guss of Phoenix, AZ; and her dog Chester and Chief, the grand dog.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol attended Canton schools and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Nauvoo, IL in 1963. She attended Spoon River College. She had a love for dogs her entire life. Carol was an avid homemaker and took care of her husband and children. Her hobbies were making potholders, yarn coasters, watching MTV, gameshows, playing puzzles, scrabble, bingo lotto cards, and spending time with her husband.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home.
