Alexis Rae Bennett

Sep 3, 1993 — Aug 23, 2026

Alexis Rae Bennett, 32, formerly of Beardstown, died Sunday, August 23, 2026, in St. Louis.

She was born September 3, 1993 in Rushville, daughter of Timothy Bennett and Terri Riddell Bennett.

She is survived by three children Kaden Easley (companion Megan Hayes), Jazen Belville, and Tristan Belville all of Beardstown; her granddaughter Mariah; her father, Timothy Bennett of Texas; her mother, Terri Bennett of St. Louis: two sisters, Skylar Chambers (husband Brian) of Bluff Springs and their son, Evren, and Calla Bennett of Jacksonville and her children, Krew and Grayson; her aunts and uncles, Mary Ann Epping (husband Dave) of Beardstown, Rusty Dorsey (wife Monica) of Beardstown, and Casey Riddell of Rushville; and seven cousins, Betsy, Beth, Brandon, Dalton, Ty, Trey, and Tannar.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, "Granny" Bonnie Riddell.

She attended Beardstown Schools and in her working years, Alexis worked as a CNA, caring for others with a kind heart. She loved makeup, fashion, and always enjoyed looking her best. After suffering a severe head injury, life changed in many ways, but the love she had for her children never did. They were truly the center of her world.

Alexis treasured the memories made at Granny's house, and hummingbirds and butterflies always held a special meaning because they reminded her of Granny. She loved her coffee with plenty of sugar, enjoyed all kinds of music, and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice-especially in the car, although those closest to her might say the shower was a different story.

The family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Colwell Memorial Home. A time of reflection will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. at the memorial home. Private burial will be held at a later date at Rosehill Cemetery in Petersburg, where she will be laid to rest near her beloved Granny.

Memorials have been suggested to the family of Alexis Bennett, in care of Skylar Chambers. Donations may also be made through Venmo at @Skylar-reese22. Condolences may be left online at www.colwellmemorialhome.com or on Facebook at Colwell Memorial Home.
