Alan Dale Hagaman, 82 of Rushville, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the Elms in Macomb.

He was born February 3, 1944 in Edmonton, Canada, the son of Albert Francis and Ethel Kellogg Hagaman and they later returned to Missouri.

He married Pauline Lung on August 29, 1994 in Palmyra, MO down at his cousins farm.

He is survived by his wife, several cousins, and a special friend Larry Ashburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, several aunts and uncles, and a special cousin Melvin Gottman.

He was raised in Palmyra, MO and graduated from Palmyra High School. Alan joined the United States Army and honorably served during the Vietnam War. He was always proud to have served his country. He worked many difficult jobs and later went to barber school and worked in a barber shop in Paris, MO, and later began working with the Railroad.

In 1980 he moved to Beardstown, working with Burlington Northern Railroad as a welder assistant, and later earned the job as welder and held that job until he retired in 1996. He was proud to have been head welder on BNSF Railroad and was proud that no one under him was ever injured. Alan loved working in the yard, planting flowers, and gardening. He loved animals, especially Maggie he had for almost 12 years, and Abbie since February of this year. Alan and Pauline lived in Beardstown until the fall of 1999 when they bought a home and moved to Rushville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the memorial home on Tuesday.
